Completing feedback is an important part of the project lifecycle on Match My Project. Not only does it help maintain accountability and trust across the platform, but it helps authorities track the impact their matches are having.
Updates have recently been made to the reminders and the questions so that feedback is more timely and accurate. Still to come: when the edit window has closed, you’ll be able to request to edit feedback.
Got thoughts on these changes? What’s working, what’s not? We’d love to hear from you – email us at support@matchmyproject.org.
✅ You’ll get more helpful reminders
Recent changes mean we can send you more relevant reminders to complete feedback. Let’s take a closer look…
🗓️ A provisional due date is created when matching
When matching, the organisation that accepts the match request will enter the number of weeks they expect the project to take. This allows a provisional due date to be created for each match and more timely feedback reminders to be sent.
- The provisional due date can be managed by anyone involved with the project.
- You’ll be notified if someone from the other organisation edits the provisional due date.
- You’ll get a reminder at the project halfway point and then one the day after the provisional due date.
At the point of match, the estimated duration is added.

This allows a provisional due date to be created.

This date is displayed in the project header (below the title) and can be edited by the community organisation or supplier involved in the project.

🔄 Regular reminders are now sent for projects without a provisional due date
For projects created before estimated timescales were introduced, you’ll get a fortnightly reminder asking you to add feedback or add an estimated due date.
If the other organisation has already given feedback, you’ll be notified and reminded to complete your feedback.
✅ Businesses can report what they contributed
To give users more confidence in the metrics being shared, both parties will be able to input or verify the value of resources that were given as part of a match. Previously VCFSEs had to input these values when sharing feedback.
If you’re first to give feedback, you’ll enter what was given.

If you give feedback on a project after the other organisation, you’ll confirm their figures or add your own.

✅ Feedback can be edited
Feedback can only be edited for a month after it’s given. But we know that sometimes updates are needed after that window closes.
For extra flexibility, if you need to edit feedback, let the authority know.
They’ll give you the ability to edit feedback for a 2 week period – you’ll get an email to let you know when you can edit again. Sorted!
