Exactly one year ago, we featured Alphatrack Systems as our supplier of the month — sitting at the top of two leaderboards and delivering meaningful Social Value across communities from London and the South East.
Twelve months later, they’ve done more than maintain that standard. They’ve raised it.

Still #1 in both Hyde Housing Association and Hackney Giving’s leaderboards, they’ve donated 252 hours, nearly £200,000 worth of funding and resources, and in one year, they’ve delivered more than half as many projects as they did in the three years before.
Alphatrack Systems, the fire and security systems specialist, has continued to be one of the most consistent and committed suppliers on the platform.
In 2025, that commitment was formally recognised when they were awarded Best Social Value Champion at the Hyde Social Value Supply Chain Awards — an award given to supply chain partners who consistently exceed their Social Value commitments and deliver exceptional community benefits.
Match My Project has proven transformational in how we manage Social Value across our wider customer base and in how we approach our broader ambition to make a meaningful difference.”

Where it all started
The journey with Match My Project began through one of their key customers, Hyde Housing Association.
Mark Latham, Operations Director, explains: “Since adopting it, however, it has proven transformational in how we manage Social Value across our wider customer base and in how we approach our broader ambition to make a meaningful difference.”
That transformation is of course visible in the numbers, but the stories that come out of their work are just as important.
Impact is not always linked to scale. Targeted contributions can be equally significant.”
— Mark Latham, Alphatrack Systems
Projects that prove impact isn’t about scale

When asked to highlight a project that stood out, Mark didn’t hesitate to mention several.
Supporting the provision of 250 Christmas hampers for Together Co, Brighton & Hove’s leading social health and loneliness charity, made a tangible difference to people who might otherwise have had very little to celebrate. Donations to Medway Foodbank have helped provide essential support to those in urgent need. And funding a new cooker for Unity Support Network in Hackney — an organisation that had been without a working one for some time — is a reminder that sometimes the most impactful contributions are also the most practical.
Mark reflects: “These examples demonstrate that impact is not always linked to scale. Targeted contributions can be equally significant.”

Match My Project gives us clear visibility of opportunities to contribute. It enables us to select projects that align with both our objectives and budget, ensuring we can consistently meet our commitments in a structured and measurable way.”
— Mark Latham, Alphatrack Systems
A platform that brings clarity to commitment
One of the most common challenges suppliers face is knowing where their support is most needed. Match My Project, Mark says, has changed that entirely.
“Meeting Social Value commitments can be challenging, particularly when customers do not provide clear guidance on where support is needed.
Match My Project addresses this by giving us clear visibility of opportunities to contribute. It enables us to select projects that align with both our objectives and budget, ensuring we can consistently meet our commitments in a structured and measurable way.”
Over the past year, Alphatrack has also noticed a shift in the conversations they’re having with customers:
“We have seen increased awareness among customers who are familiar with the platform but not yet using it,” Mark notes.
“This has created opportunities for more informed conversations about how the platform can support their own Social Value objectives.”
Alphatrack’s success, in other words, is becoming a blueprint for others.
The human side of Social Value
We asked Mark about his experience working with community partners, and he said this:
“Their passion and commitment to Social Value are evident, and this shared focus helps ensure that collaborations are effective and meaningful.
It reinforces the importance of working closely with organisations that genuinely care about the outcomes.”
This speaks to something important about how Social Value should work: not as a transaction, but as a collaboration between partners who are invested in the outcome.
Alphatrack’s approach to partnership comes through clearly in the feedback they continue to receive from those they support:
“We were able to take every single child in Y6 on this holiday, thanks to this donation.”
— Henry Fawcett Primary School
“A big thank you for supporting Black History Month community event at The Old Laundry attended by over 300 local residents from Stockwell. We couldn’t have done it without you!”
— Stockwell Partnership
“We had a fantastic experience collaborating with Alphatrack, who generously funded our new smart board for the children in our homework club. We are extremely grateful for Alphatrack’s support in making this possible. Their commitment to enhancing educational resources in our community is truly commendable, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact this smart board will have on our children’s confidence, creativity, and academic success. Thank you, Alphatrack, for believing in our mission and investing in our future!

Advice from the top
For suppliers looking to follow Alphatrack’s lead, Mark’s guidance is straightforward:
- Fully embrace the platform and the opportunities it presents
- Select projects that align with your organisation’s values or area of affinity, and engage with them regularly
- If you are working towards an annual target, consistent participation throughout the year is key to avoid a concentration of activity at the end of the period.
And for community organisations hoping to attract support?
- Ensure that project requests are as detailed and transparent as possible
- Clearly outline the level of financial commitment required, and where relevant, include links to specific items being requested. This allows businesses to make informed decisions and increases the likelihood of a successful match.
Looking ahead
Alphatrack Systems are proof that Social Value is so much more than a box to tick — it’s a culture that is created when there are the right systems in place to support it.
From food for Chichester Foodbank to freezers for survivors of domestic abuse in Bromley & Croydon, from blood pressure monitors in Hackney to a reading shed for a school in Lambeth, they have shown that a business’ success and a community’s success need not be separate ambitions.
We are proud to have them in our network, and we look forward to everything the next year brings.
