Managing projects across multiple authorities shouldn’t mean remembering which authorities to log into, having to log in via a specific page, and manually reposting projects.

This new update improves how you work across multiple authorities on Match My Project.

How it works

✅ Access any authority from the login page

✅ Your credentials work on any login page, regardless of authority

✅ Any bookmarked pages still work — the old URLs will still get you to the right place

When you log in, if you’re registered with more than one authority, you’ll see a welcome page where you can select the account you need to access.

Easy switching between authorities

A new authority switcher at the top of your sidebar lets you move between authorities with a single click. No more opening new browser windows or tabs to check each authority separately.

What’s changed

When you log in, you’ll see the new sidebar menu, displaying the authority you’re logged into at the top.

Click the dropdown next to the authority name to view all other authorities you have access to — or easily apply to more.

✅ No more logging out and logging back in to switch between authorities

Post to multiple authorities at once

When you post a project or offer, you can now select additional authorities to post to, removing the need for you to manually duplicate projects to other authorities.

How it works:

1. Fill in your project or offer details and click ‘Complete’

2. You’ll be asked if you want to post to other authorities

3. Select which authorities you want

4. New tabs open for each authority so you can review locations (for in-kind support offers) or outcomes (for community-led projects) and finalise.

5. Choose to submit immediately, or save each project as a draft

Why this matters

For community organisations

Where authorities overlap, or if you serve communities across authority boundaries, this update significantly reduces your administrative burden. Post your project once, select the relevant authorities, and you’re done. No more maintaining separate project listings or worrying about missing opportunities because you forgot to check one authority’s site.

For suppliers

National and regional suppliers with contracts across multiple authorities can finally manage everything from one account. See all your projects, matches, and tasks across all authorities without the login-logout dance.

For authorities

You should see a difference in the number of login queries you need to deal with.

What to expect when you log in

If you’re registered with just one authority

You won’t notice much difference at first, but you now have the option to easily register with more authorities. Look for the authority switcher at the top of your sidebar and click ‘Add authority’ when you’re ready.

If you’re already registered with multiple authorities

The next time you log in, you’ll be asked to select which authority to start with. Choose one, and you’re in. You’ll immediately see the new authority switcher and can explore the improvements from there.

What hasn’t changed

✅ Each authority still approves users and projects independently

✅ Projects can still only match with one authority (no double-counting)

✅ All your existing projects, matches, and data are exactly where you left them

✅ Your login credentials haven’t changed
